Cancer - A Primer
Part Two -- Design Issues --
Clinical Trials
Cancer refers to a family of diseases with a common set of properties:
A
"source" organ -- cells from these organs are responsible for the
genesis of the cancer.
Cells
whose structure, reproduction and function are deranged.
The
formation of invasive masses of cells (tumors) which have a tendency to invade
and spread (metastasis) beyond the source organ.
