The
Purpose of Group Work
While
group work is intended to enhance learning, individual work is the foundation
of your individual performance. Group work cannot replace individual
preparation.
At
a minimum, the groups work out solutions to the case studies posed in
class.
No
part of group work counts for Course Letter Grade credit.
The members of your
group might maintain a log of solved case studies and class notes. I expect
individual members of each group to contribute a fair level of support to their
group - no particular member should be doing most of the work.
That's it. That is
all I expect of each group.
Groups are a
student resource. They exist solely to enhance student learning.
Additional
Group Possibilities
Additionally, your group, or portions of it, might meet outside of class
for review sessions. You might work problems together. You might exchange notes. Outside
work is entirely voluntary, but can only help your learning and is strongly
encouraged.
Individual
Student Responsibilities
Understand that you alone are
responsible for your performance in this class - this includes participation,
documentation, practice, preparation for hourlies and the final exam. The group work is intended as
a supplemental resource.
