Study #1.2.1
Random
Samples
Case
Description: We will take an actual bowl, which contains actual chips of
various colors. We will draw samples of draws with replacement from this bowl.
We will examine these samples.
Case
Objectives:
Understand
Random Samples and Draws with Replacement.
Draw
random samples (draws with replacement) of size 25, 60. Summarize appropriately
each sample.
The
structure of the bowl, expressed as color proportions, determines the basic
structure of samples drawn from the bowl. The random samples reflect (albeit
imperfectly) the actual structure of the bowl.
